Waste Management Service Update
The City of Clare contracts with Waste Management for the weekly pickup of residential waste, acceptable residential recyclables and seasonally for yard waste. Normally yard waste pickup starts on or around April 1st depending upon weather conditions and concludes at the end of fall, again depending upon weather conditions. This past year as everyone knows has not been normal. At the current time Waste Management is struggling with staffing shortages due to COVID exposure quarantines and as a result has prioritized waste pickup to be completed weekly as required and if staffing allows they will also pick up recyclables and yard waste. We hope that everyone understands and is empathetic with the circumstances that we all find ourselves. We will post updates as we become aware of them as we have throughout the pandemic. If you should have any questions regarding residential waste pickup please call Mary at 989-386-7541, extension 201. Thank you |
