Water Rates

3/4" Residential (1st 4,000 gallons) $14.73

Commodity Charge (per 1,000 gallons) $2.13

All residential users are charged the commodity charge for all usage over 4,000 gallons plus the basic meter charge. Residential dwellings with multiple users on a single meter and commercial users are charged at the stated commodity charge for all usage (no minimum) plus the basic meter charge.

Meter Replacement Program

3/4" Residential $1.00

We replace 100 3/4" meters each year, which this fee covers.

Sewer Rates

3/4" Residential $17.49

Commodity Charge (per 1,000 gallons) $3.72

All customers (regardless of classification) are charged the commodity charge plus the basic meter charge.

Curbside Garbage and Recycling Pick-Up

Residential Units $17.72

Billing

The City of Clare bills in arrears. What is used in March, for example, is billed approximately April 15th, and is due May 1st. Customers have until May 5th for the City to receive and post their payment before 10% late fees are added.
